Since Terri was so brave I felt I had to jump in at the deepend too.
I don’t really like being in front of the camera either (but at least this gave me reason to try my new remote). Unlike Terri I have never had much experience of speaking in front of any kind of audience (apart from when I was working as a riding instruction back in the old days:-)
I used my Canon 28-80mm lens and AV f4.0 in our conservatory where the light was so so, it is cloudy and raining outside.
You look great and this is a great picture too. We are both so brave, LOL. Do we feel better now that its over? Hmmm maybe. Everyone has been kind with their comments and I appreciate that. Even though its raining your light is good, everything looks bright and cheerful. Are you at work or at home? Great job all the way around.
Thanks for your nice comments. I am both at home and at work, we have our own company and work from home my husband and I. After many years stressing ourselves out for someone else it is nice to be your own boss 🙂
Nice portrait of yourself Catharine. Have to admit my hat is off to you for being another brave soul and posting an original. Working at home, that is great.
The photo looks terrific but your words seem braver than your eyes appear in the shot, I applaud your courage,
You’re beautiful, Cathy! I’m so glad to meet the real you!
You look beautiful, Cathy! Nice to find out a little about you, too! What kind of riding did you instruct? We raised and showed Morgan horses for about 20 years. Glad to meet and see the woman behind the camera!
I worked at a pony riding school for quite a few years and then moved down south and worked at a small stud with thoroughbreds.
Congratulations….bravery doesn’t come easy for me, either. I wish I weighed 20 lbs less! Like my sister, Iona, said: be happy where you are, so I guess I’d better listen since she is older than me….
I like the lighting in this photo and the fact that your eyes are focusing on the camera.
Congrats! I have never liked seeing myself in photos. Your photo is in inspiration for me to do something. Very nicely done.
Cathy great to meet you! It’s always wonderful to put a name and face together. I look forward to continuing to blog with you!
Cathy, great photo!! We’ll be blogging together this term, so it’s nice to meet you!! The Gravitar on my blog is a shot my husband took a few years ago and it’s the only good one I have. Talk to you later…Linda W
What a nice self portrait! You did a terrific job on the lighting and focus – it’s a very flattering photo. You’re giving me some courage to set up my own shot. We’re in the same blogging group this time around and I look forward to seeing more of your photos.
